Snack and Play!
Please join us at 2:30 on Tuesday, June 1 at Walsh for a snack, play time, and final supply pick-up for the year. Please remember to check in at the office. A visitor's badge will be given to you and the office staff will direct you to where we are meeting out near the Walsh playground. Masks are not required outside (unless 6 ft. distance cannot be maintained), however, they are required inside the building for check-in and using the restroom.
Hope to see you there!

Reading/ELA
To celebrate the conclusion of our poetry unit, we'll have a "Poetry Party" on Tuesday. Students should choose a favorite poem they wrote in their Poetry Journal to share with the class.
We'll also listen to some wonderful stories this week, make a dragon puppet, and finish our Kindergarten Memory Book.

The Power of "Yet"
There are so many exciting things to learn in kindergarten! However, sometimes, learning new things can be hard and we start to think, “I give up. I can’t do this.” When those moments occur, remind your child that learning new things may be difficult sometimes, but if we keep practicing and don’t give up, we’ll begin to grow and move toward our goal! Our thinking begins to changes to, “I can’t do this...YET!” With perseverance, practice and learning from our mistakes, we’ll grow and be able to do more than we ever imagined! We’re going to try and fail along the way, but failure is part of the journey to success! Mistakes bring opportunities for trying again and persistence as we travel down the road to becoming a lifelong learner! Check out this catchy song that focuses on the power of YET!
